The Paper Players Challenge #54 - Christmas in July

The Paper Players has another challenge this week called Christmas in July, challenge#54 keyword PP54. Wow!! this is a great way to start Christmas cards early and the design team has done a beautiful job of creating some terrific cards, along with the other entries.

If you would like to join the fun, go to their website by clicking here. You can use any brand you like. It's just about having fun, so with that said....here is mine below

I decided to use the stamp set called: Delightful Decorations to create this card along with the stamp set called: Perfect Punches for the setiment on the left hand side.

I started off by creating some clouds as the background using Marina Mist Ink and than punched out 3 ornaments to use for hanging them up.

You could just stamp the image down onto the cardstock, but by punching them out first, I had the ability to move them around to where I wanted to place them. It's so nice to have a stamp set with a matching punch. Than, I took a black marker and use the fine tip to create a line using the ruler for the string.

To create the sentiment on the left hand corner, I stamped the image in Always Artichoke and used the scallop punch to cut it out. Afterward, I stamped the image again using Real Red ink and used the 1 3/8" circle punch to cut that out and place on top of the scallop using stampin dimensionals.

To complete the card, I added Basic Pearls on top of the ribbon and more basic pearls on top of each ornament. Almost forgot, I did use glitter for the sentiment (circle portion only). Hope you enjoy and join the fun at The Paper Player's challenge.

    3. Mikki, love the idea of ornaments in the sky! Very creative. The blue and white background also makes a lovely color backdrop to the ornaments. Your satin bow is the perfect finishing touch.
