For this card, I used the stamp set called: Up, Up, & Away along with the DSP Big Top Birthday. To add some texture to the Real Red cardstock, I used the embossing folder, Dots.
For the focal point, I kept it clean by using only 1 ballon with a few clouds. The Ballon was embossed with black embossing powder and heat set. This added a nice touch to it on top of the Tempting Turquoise cardstock. Also used the 2 3/8" scallop punch (Real Red cardstock) and than cut a 2" circle in whisper white for the center focal point.
To finish off the card, I added 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon. Almost forgot, I did use stampin dimensionals under the ballon to pop it up more. For the next card,... sneak peak at one of the newest DSP coming out in the Occasions Mini Catalog starting Jan 4th.
Just loving this paper called: Twitterpated which matches so nicely with the Riding Hood Red cardstock. Used the Finial Press embossing folder to add some texture to the cardstock and added 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon...Pool Party.
This beautiful rosette was created with the Lace Ribbon Border which I had to make after seeing Mary Fisher's video on how to do this. You can click here to view the video on how to make this. Added glitter around the edges of the rosette and center.
The only difference for mine is I cut a strip (1" x 7 1/2") to obtain a smaller rosette which I attached to a 2 3/8" scallop punch with Island Indigo cardstock. The strip was scored every 1/4" across before punching with the Lace Ribbon Border.
For the sentiment, I used the stamp set: Friendly Phrases along with the ink Island Indigo. Love this Decorative Label punch. It's such a nice size to fit many sentiments. Last but not least, I used a sponge dauber to add some color around the sentiment along with a couple of basic rhinestones.
