FMS 49 - Betsy's Blossoms

Design Team member Jen Mitchell over at Freshly Made Sketches is the hostess for the week who created this cute square sketch with lots of circles to play with. If you would like to join the fun, you can click here to go directly to the challenge.

Here is mine below:
Pulled out the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set to see what I could come up with for this challenge and used all of the new In colors 2012-2014.

Stampin Dimensionals were used under the (Summer Starfruit) bird. Added a sentiment from the set: Fabulous Phrases along with the Word Window Punch.

Cardstock used was Midnight Muse, Marina Mist, and Whisper White. For the ribbon, 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Primrose Petals. The Scallop border was created by using the new Large Scallop Edgelit

For the final touch, I added little rhinestones to the flowers and little bird. After I finished the card, I realized no DSP was used and only cardstock, colors, and ribbon to complete this card. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

Here is mine below:
I really love this new DSP paper called: Comfort Cafe. It works so well with a variety of colors such as one of the newest color cardstock called Summer Starfruit which is the center focus mat.

Also, finally...I got a chance to play with this stamp set called: My Friend. To get these results, I used sponge daubers onto the stamp image before stamping down onto Whisper White cardstock. Colors used were: Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Summer Starfruit (all new in-colors). For the sentiment, I used the stamp set: Loving Thoughts

For the ribbon, I used 1/2" Steam Binding Ribbon (Baja Breeze) and for the button, I punched out a 1 1/4" circle from the DSP (Comfort Cafe) and adhered it to a clear button using Mod Podge . Therefore, giving it a matching button. For the embossed strip, I used the Tulip Frame folder with Baja Breeze cardstock to go against the Early Espresso.

Next I Have:
This is a simple easy to re-create card since this new DSP called: Floral District already has a beautiful print on it. Although the green is showing more bright in the picture than in real person (My camera). This is really a very nice DSP to work with and fun.

I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border in Whisper White, than embossed this beautiful flower from the new set called: Betsy's Blossoms using White on top of Pink Pirouette cardstock. Later I stamped the same image using Rich Razzleberry. Stampin Dimensionals were used in between.

For the sentiment, I used the stamp set: Fabulous Phrases along with Rich Razzleberry ink.

Now hop along for more inspiring ideas from Sandie Conner at Pretty Provisions, stop number 27 on the Pals New Catalog Blog Hop! Thanks for "hopping" by!

Mojo Monday 243 - Betsy's Blossom and Floral District

Another week at Mojo Monday, MOJO243, with a sketch design by Julee Tilman. This week, there are two choices, either round or square since it's the last week of the month. I went with square as usual, but maybe next time I'll try out the circle.

Fun Fun and more fun.....with the new catalog that was just released June 1st and new items I got to play around with. This is a terrific DSP called Floral District which is a nice challenge for me with the bright collection, but really enjoyed it.

Great with Pool Party cardstock which is what I combined it with. As my main cardstock, I picked up Rich Razzleberry and embossed with the Polka Dots Folder.
Here I got to play with my new Edgelits (Adorning Accents) which I got a while ago but love playing with it. Hopefully you can see the embossed scallops which was created by using the Textured Impressions Folder that is matching set for it.

New ink color called: Midnight Muse (Bird) worked very well with this color combo along with Calypso Coral for the flower and So Saffron for the tail. For the sentiment, Petite Pairs was used again with Midnight Muse directly on the DSP. Stampin Dimensionals were used under the circles and Basic Rhinestones added for final touches.

 Card Size: 5x5
Circle sizes are 2 1/2" Olive Cardstock and 2 1/4" in Whisper White.
Hope you Enjoy!!
