It's time for some fun in the sun with the Pals! Glad you could join us for the Pals Summer Sunshine Blog Hop! You've probably hopped over from Nicole Watt at Impressions By Nicole, I'm stop number 15 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in!

I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for summer themed Stampin' Up! projects from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track
Here is mine below:
When thinking of summer sunshine, I think DSP Summer Smooches since it has all the bright summer colors, so I started with that and ended up with this card.

Grabbed my stamp set: Build a Blossom to create this full big flower and leaves along with the matching punch: Blossom Petals Builder. Here is a side view to see how the Stampin Dimensionals were used in between the layers to pop up the look.

Here is a close up picture of the front view showing off the colors of Real Red, Old Olive for the leaves, Daffodil Delight for the center and you can see one of the new ribbons: 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain in Daffodil Delight. Island Indigo cardstock was used under it.

Added a scallop border using the Adorning Accents Edgelits along with matching embossing Accents Folder and for the sentiment, used the Modern Label and Word Window Punch with the stamp set: Teeeny Tiny Wishes.

For the 2 little flowers on the right hand side on the bottom, the Boho punch was very handy along with punching 2 circles from the Owl punch for the center.

After looking at it over, I'm now thinking it could use some basic pearls, but at the same time not sure if it would be over doing it. Let me know what you think. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

Now hop along for more inspiring ideas from Nicole Picadura at Scraps & Stamps, stop number 16 on the Pals Summer Sunshine Blog Hop! Thanks for "hopping" by!

Mojo Monday 244 - Language of Friendship & Summer Smooches

Another week at Mojo Monday, MOJO244, with another sketch design by Julee Tilman. This week, it's the begining of the month and as many of you know who play it's always fun.

This time around I played with a color combo I don't normally work with but it's always good to challenge yourself so there I went to my start my card and I must say I loved it in the end. Everyone should try this if you haven't already.

First time playing with this cute stamp set: Language of Friendship and love it.
I started off with this cute little embossing folder called: Framed Tulips and DSP: Summer Smooches. Colors included: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Marina Mist, So Saffron, and Early Espresso.

Ribbon: 3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and Basic Rhinestones to add final touches.
To get the white dots on top of the 2 3/8" scallop circle, a white Uni-ball gel pen was used.
Almost forgot, I used the Scallop border punch for the scallop bottoms, 1 3/4" circleBird Builder Punch, and of course my favorite, Stampin Dimensionals for under the bird and flowers. Hope you Enjoy!!

PP98 - Summertime - Bright Blossoms & Summer Smooches

The Paper Player is having a Summertime Challenge Theme, PP98 and the picture alone looks so much fun that I had to join.

For me summertime is alot of things, beach, pool, ice cream, and outdoor flowers, but since I've been helping gardening, which is what I do for the summertime, I focused on flower for this challenge.

Here is my card:
This new DSP, Summer Smooches has such beautiful colors and I love the flower image on it along with the red polka dots. As far as color scheme, it was the Dynamic Duos website that gave me my inspiration for this card for the Island Indigo and Bright Red, but added green for the flower focus. Very fun colors.

The stamp set is called Bright Blossoms which has the cutest flowers and vases. Inks used weres Bright Red and Pear Pizzaz (retired) and for the sentiment I used stamp set called: Perfect Words (retired).

Other tools used were: Blossom Bouquet Punch (retired) and Sizzlits Die called Paper Doily.

Whisper White Satin Ribbon was used to make this tiny bow on the side and for the sketch design, I used a previous Mojo Monday sketch which is below.
For this card, I used several stampin dimensionals starting from under the DSP base and than again under the Paper Doily and finally under the 1 1/2 " circle. Hope you enjoy and if you haven't joined yet, stop by at the challenge by clicking here over at The Paper Players. It's quite fun!
