The Paper Players Challenge #53 - A Sketch

This cute website called The Paper Players  has a weekly challenge starting every Sunday and I just had to join in the fun with this cute sketch PP53 designed by: Lesley Croghan. If you would to play also, go to their website by clicking here.

Here is what I came up with based on this cute sketch:

Here is a close up picture of how I sponge daubed the butterfly using pretty in pink to add in some color to the card. This paper called: Elegant Soiree (117163) is one of my all time favorites and sorry to see it being retired.

Take advantage with only 4 days left to pick some of this gorgeous DSP...best thing is it's 25% off.

I used a few punches for this card. I took the 1 3/8" circle punch to cut out the butterfly which I stamped in Early Espresso than I adhered that to the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch using Marina Mist cardstock. Next, I used the circle scissor plus to cut out a 1 7/8" circle in Bashful Blue.

Finally, I took my stampin dimensionals and put them under the scallop circle and than again under the 1 7/8" circle to make the card pop out more. Added some basic pearls to embellish. I used the stamp set called: Thanks for caring.

Feel free to email me anytime if you have any question on how I did something or what I used. I would love to hear from you.

Monday MOJO193 - Tea Bag Folding Technique

When I saw this week's Mojo193 Monday challenge, I thought "wow", great time to try out the tea bag folding technique I learned recently.

I decided not to add any stamps sets and focus only on using paper and embellishments, so this is what I came up with for the sketch....again using one of my favorite DSP called: Elegant Soiree which is on the last chance accesories list now being retired and on Sale at 25% off for only $7.46

Also used Early Espresso 5/8' Satin Ribbon and gave the ribbon a ruffled look...This ribbon is also on the last chance list. Of course, my favorite Stampin Dimensionals were also used under the middle square.

If this is one of your favorite DSP and / or ribbon, get it today while supplies last. Items are going quickly!!

If you need help ordering, have probelms with shopping online, and /or any questions, I would love to answer them for you.

Supplies Used:
  • Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
  • DSP: Elegant Soiree (117163)
  • Other: Spong Dauber (102892),
  • Embellishments: Adornments (121879), Rinestones (119246), Early Espresso 5/8" Satin Ribbon (119753) being retired

PPA95 and SC333 - Brads, Punches, and Sentiment

Okay I know I did a card already for the PPA95 challenge, but as I mentioned in the previous post, I made 2 cards for this challenge. For this card I also used SC333 sketch from Splitcoaststampers.

On this card, I put extra focus on the brads challenge element and got to play around with several punches as you can see in this card.

Basically, all punches and just one little sentiment....... Just love this paper!!

This card is using one of the newest punches that came out this year in the Occasions Mini Catalog called: Blossom Petals Punch and matching stamp set: Build a Blossom along with 6 other of my favorite punches:

New postage punch (3 squares at the bottom), Modern Label & Window Label Punch (sentiment), and Boho Punch (3 flowers at bottom), and finally Corner Scallop Trim and Border Scallop Trim punch for the square border.

Last but not least added brads to each area of the card along with sponge daubing around the flowers, added a sentiment, and used white gel pen to add a few dots in the center of the flower.

Supplies Used:
  • Stamp Set: Fabulous Phrases - CM (120501)
  • Inks: Soft Suede (115657), Marina Mist (119668)
  • Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Marina Mist, Early Espresso
