The Paper Players #80 - Sketch - Happiest Birthday Wishes with Enchantment

Went over to The Paper Players and found this very cute fun sketch created by Anne Marie and wanted to give it a try. If you would like to join, click here to go directly to the challenge.

Played around with the new DSP Everyday Enchantment and used Peach Parfait as my mat behind it.

For the middle, I used the set called: Happiest Birthday Wishes with Early Espresso ink.

For the sentiment below, I used the set: Oval All along with the Scallop Oval and Oval Punch. Again, using the Early Espresso ink on it.

Mojo Monday MOJO202 - Sketch Challenge - Happy Birthday

Time flys fast and once again it's another beautiful Mojo Monday sketch by Julee Tilman. This one is called MOJO202. If you would like to join the fun click here to go to directly to their website. This week is contest week.
Here is mine
I got to play with a few new products, one is the new petite pennant builder punch and the other one is the Bigz L die called:  Perfect Pennants.

For the focal point, I decided to create a rosette in the center using new DSP paper called: Cheerful Treat (Hostess paper) and than used a stamp image from the Happiest Birthday Wishes set. I used a 1" punch to cut out the center using Concord Crush ink and also used the 1 3/8" punch the cut out the "Happy" portion.

For the 3 ribbons in the sketch, I cut out a strip of cardstock ( 1/2" x 1 1/4") and used the scissors to cut out the tail ends. This way, I still had room to play around by making them either longer ribbons and or short ribbons. Here, I decided to make them shorter and added basic pearls.

Hope you Enjoy!!

2011 Pals July Blog Hop - Happiest Birthday Wishes

Welcome to the July Pals Hop! This month, we're featuring fantastic new goodies from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! Enjoy the HOP and get some creative ideas for using new stamps and accessories from the amazing creations that the Pals have come up with.

You've likely hopped over from Barabara Chatzkel at http://www.takeoutpaperarts.com
I'm stop number 6 on the PALS HOP and I'm glad you hopped in!. I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for paper crafted creations from the Stampin' Pretty Pals!

For this card, I used the newest embossing folder called: Stripes, which I embossed using  black cardstock and one of the newest hostess stamp sets called: Happiest Birthday Wishes. This set is very versatile. For colors, I used 2 inks, Island Indigo (new) and Melon Mambo.

Love this new DSP paper called: Flirtatious Specialty, it also comes with this laser cut doily as you can see in the photos above and below. Not only 1 doily, but 2 12x12 sheets of doilies to use. To get this look, I cut a 2" circle in Island Indigo cardstock and than applied it on top of the doily along with the different layers from the stamp set. Ribbon is 1/2" Blushing Bride Poly Ribbon.

Card Measures 5x5

Hop along for more inspiring ideas from Melanie Collins at http://www.oopsadaisy.typepad.com, stop number 7, or click on the photos below. Thanks for stopping by
