PPA98 - Sketch Challenge using Delicate Doilies and Punches

Surprise!!! It's another fun week at the Pals Paper Arts website with a wonderful sketch created by: Margaret Moody

They always have a great new challenge every Thursday and this is one of them. Join the fun by creating a card based off of the sketch above and link it to their website. It's easy to link up and all you need to do is create a card. Here is mine below.........

This little stamped image comes from one of the newest stamp sets called: Delicate Doilies  which is coming out July 1....yeah!! and can easily be punched out using the Doily Triple Layer Punch......isn't cute!!!

The stamp set goes so well with this DSP called: Love Letter which is retiring June 30.

I than cut out a 1 1/2" circle using So Saffron and the Circle Scissor Plus to use as a mat behind it. Yes, I did use stampin dimensionals under the punch out and used it again under the middle square, and last but not least under the sentiment.

I find that by using the dimensionals on top of an embossed cardstock holds much better verses using regular adhesive and putting the sentiment on top. It also makes the card pop up more.

Also, I used the Finial Press embossing folder to emboss the whisper white cardstock.

For the leaves, I used the Two-Step Bird and combined it with the leaves from the Build a Blossom set using Old Olive cardstock and ink. This set comes in handy for alot of things.

You may be asking what about the sentiment.....well I used the stamp set called: Thanks for Caring that was in the Occasions Mini Catalog that ended April 30 but no longer available.

Important note.... the Summer Mini that is currently available has many beautiful items...get them before they are no longer available ends Aug 31st.

PPA97 - What's Your Signature Style & Sneak Peak

The challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts is Signature Style:

Pals Paper Arts wants to see your signature style!  What style best defines you?  Whether you are sleek and modern like Vera Wang, traditional and classic like Ralph Lauren or vintage like Jessica McLintock we want to see it.

Anything goes.....so give it a try yourself and link up to their website at Pals Paper Arts. In addition, this week they are giving away Blog Candy....exciting!!! Here is mine below.

Here is a sneak peek at one of the newest stamp sets that will be coming out July 1, 2011 called: Delicate Dollies. Also, I used DSP Lap of Luxury which is being retired by the end of the month (6/30), so if you love this paper, get it while supplies last, plus it's on sale at 25% off .....only $7.46

I used the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch to cut out the stamped image and than added a 2 3/8" punch using Perfect Plum cardstock to use as a mat. As always, stampin dimensionals where used to elevate the card and pop out a little more. This is great when using thicker ribbon which hides easily behind.

Baby is kicking super hard tonight, so I will make it short and go to sleep for the night.
