Another week at Mojo Monday, MOJO288 although today is Sunday, last day to link up. This week's sketch designed by Sarah Bigelow. You can click here to view the wonderful cards already made with this sketch.
Also, trying to get back to playing more challenges as before, now that my niece has been born and my sister is now doing better. So I went over to check out what they had going on at The Paper Players and love the beautiful color challenge this week, so wanted to see if I could do a combo. To join over at The Paper Players, click here to see the beautiful inspiration the design team has come up with.
Most importantly, have fun with the sketch and color combo challenge. I was glad myself to work on a card and with this cute sketch. Here is mine below:
Isn't this butterfly so cute? It's from the stamp set: Best of Butterflies that came out during April from the Best of 25 year stamp set collection. Did you know, if you collect 6 of The Stampin Up - Best of 25 year stamp sets, you will qualify to order 1 FREE stamp set of your choice valued up to $14.95. (Proof of Purchase is necessary to claim the free set).
Here I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits using Island Indigo cardstock and than went on to punch out a 1 3/4" circle. Than thought it needed something more, so added some paper piercing using the Essential Paper-Piercing Pack.
Lastly, used the Elegant Butterfly Punch to punch out this cute butterfly and mounted using Stampin Dimensionals. The sentiment comes from the set: Petite Pairs. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating.
Best of Butterflies - available only in clear mount #133345
Delicate Doilies Sizzlits - item #126999 (I used the one on the left hand side)
Beautiful card, Mikki! I love the paper piercing around the butterfly--almost like it flew in a circle before landing on your card! :-) Beautiful use of our colors this week...Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteMikki, gorgeous card. I love that you left white space around the butterfly and the paper piercing really helps to draw your attention to it. Also love that you rounded the bottom left corner to echo the circle with the butterfly.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined the Paper Players this week
