PPA142 - Color with Stippled Blossoms

The Pals Paper Arts is having a color challenge and has such pretty inspirations by the Design Team and so I wanted to give it a try, PPA142. Click here if you would like to join the fun. Most importantly have fun with it.
    Here is mine below:
Wanted to create another card with this gorgeous stamp set: Stippled Blossoms and inked it up with Elegant Eggplant. Than inked up Lucky Limeade for the leaves. Added some basic pearls in the center. For paper, I pulled out the DSP (In-color 2011-2013). For the sentiment, I used the stamp set: Fabulous Phrases and used the Modern Label and Word Window Punch.

Here is a close up of the flower so hopefully you can see the basic pearls better, but the white is not showing up, but in person it's very white. Ribbon is the new 1 1/4" Stitched Ribbon. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!!

FMS 51 - Button Buddies & Punches

Design Team member Cindy Hall over at Freshly Made Sketches is the hostess for the week who created this fun sketch to play with, FMS#51. If you would like to join the fun, you can click here to go directly to the challenge.

Here is mine below:
Loving this paper and color combination as you can see from previous posts but bare with me. I promise my next card will be totally different including the color combo and paper.

Once again, Festival of Prints is the DSP along with Cherry Cobbler, Black, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Whisper White. The sentiment comes from the set: Watercolor Trio (now retired). Adorning Accents Edgelits with matching embossing folder were used to create the scallop border on the side.

Punches are so fun and made this card fun to do. I used the Blossom punch in Old Olive as my base for the flower along with the stamp set: Button Buddies.

To create the flower dimensionaI, I stamped it three times using Cherry Cobbler and used my little scissors on 2 of them. The 1 3/4" Scallop Punch was used to start this flower. Afterwards, I layered the 3 on top of one another using Stampin Dimensionals. Added a button on top to finish it off. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

Mojo Monday 257 - Lacy & Lovely Again

Another week at Mojo Monday, MOJO257. This week designed by the talented Julee Tilman herself. Since it's the beggining of the month, it's contest week where you have a chance to win some Verse Stamps up to 7 winners max. Click here to go directly to the challenge.

Most importantly, have fun with the sketch. I was glad myself to work on a card and with this beautiful sketch. Here is mine below:

Yes, I had to create another card with this stamp set: Lacy & Lovely along with the DSP: Festival of Prints but added some new elements to this one.

Here is one of the newest Sizzlits Delicate Doilies with Black cardstock as my base circle. Used the 2 1/2" circle, 1 3/4" circle, and 1" circle punches for the focal point. Behind that I used Basic Gray cardstock along with DSP stack from the neutrals collection.

Not to forget, also used some Crumb Cake with the stripes embossing folder on this card as well.

Used the new Finishing Touches Edgelits in Whisper White and love the look of this border contrast.

Stampin Dimensionals always adds a nice touch and were used under two layers of circles to pop it up. Also, some Basic Pearls were added as final touches. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

Mojo Monday 256 - Lacy & Lovely with Festive Prints

Another week at Mojo Monday, MOJO256, with another sketch designed by Julee Tilman. For me, it's another Sunday. I won't tell you how long this took, but I will say I almost gave up completely on it since I could not decide on which papers and combination worked best, than it was a decision on stamp set and so on, but finally finished it.

This will be a short post since I've been on my computer most of the day fixing it and running out of time, but wanted to get this card posted. If you would like to join the fun click here to go directly to the challenge. It's a super cute sketch. Here is mine below:

Loving this DSP called: Festival of Prints....so many choices and not just for Christmas!! Used the embossing folder: Stripes with Crumb Cake cardstock. My focus was trying to mantain a 2 tone look for this card, Black and Cherry Cobbler. Used the Designer Frames embossing Folder to give me another texture for the oval.

Added Basic Rhinestones on each corner and flower from the stamp set: Lacy & Lovely. Sentiment also comes from this terrific set. Card Measures 5 x 5 square. Not to forget, stampin dimensionals were used under the 1 inch circle. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

PPA141 - Bordering on Romance

The Pals Paper Arts is having a darling sketch challenge created by the talented Margaret Moody, PPA141. Click here to go directly to the challenge to see all of the beautiful inspiration.

Here is mine below:
Love these Window Label Framelits so had to try something with them along with one of my favorite embossing folders: Chevron and stamp sets: Bordering on Romance. Sentiment comes from the set: Fabulous Phrases and the Word Window Punch is perfect for this small saying.

DSP is also a favorite of mine: Twitterpated. As always, Stampin Dimensionals were used under the framelits and under the 4 x 4 Marina Mist Cardstock. Last but not least Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon completes the card with some little pearls for assistance. Finished card measures 5x5. Hope you enjoy and have fun Creating!!

Merry Monday #30 - Guest Designer

Today is Monday which means another fantastic challenge over at Always Playing with Paper, with a new Merry Monday sketch #30 design by Lesley Croghan.

Once again, I'm excited to be a guest designer for this week's challenge and would like to thank Lesley for having chosen me as a winner in July giving me this opportunity for today's Challenge #30. Check out the rest of the design team and the beautiful Christmas inspiration.

Here is mine:
I just can't tell you how I adore this paper set: Snow Festival. I'm not even close to using up the pack and already want another one. For the sketch, I decided to flip it and work from there. For this card, I thought and thought to focus on a Christmas card that would be easy to duplicate and so I went for a simple and clean look.

Believe it or not, this card has no stamp sets involved and only DSP, gorgeous Chevron embossing folder, little cardstock (Cherry Cobbler), and Basic Pearls. Basically, there are 2 sheets in the pack that come with 16 (3x3) cute little images like this per sheet, which are all different.

Of course my favorite, Stampin Dimensionals were used under the main square focal point. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

FMS 49 - Betsy's Blossoms

Design Team member Jen Mitchell over at Freshly Made Sketches is the hostess for the week who created this cute square sketch with lots of circles to play with. If you would like to join the fun, you can click here to go directly to the challenge.

Here is mine below:
Pulled out the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set to see what I could come up with for this challenge and used all of the new In colors 2012-2014.

Stampin Dimensionals were used under the (Summer Starfruit) bird. Added a sentiment from the set: Fabulous Phrases along with the Word Window Punch.

Cardstock used was Midnight Muse, Marina Mist, and Whisper White. For the ribbon, 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Primrose Petals. The Scallop border was created by using the new Large Scallop Edgelit

For the final touch, I added little rhinestones to the flowers and little bird. After I finished the card, I realized no DSP was used and only cardstock, colors, and ribbon to complete this card. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

Merry Monday #29 - Delightful Decorations

So happy that the weather was not outrages yesterday, which allowed me time to play in my craft area and have fun again. Also, get back on track with my favorite challenges again. This one is for Merry Monday Challenge#29 designed by Lesley Croghan over at Always Playing with Paper.

This challenge is perfect for getting a head start on Christmas cards. If you would like to join, Click here to go directly to the challenge. It ends today, Sunday, at noon (pst). As I said, I'm now playing catch up time.

I will say this is my favorite paper from the Holiday Catalog called: Snow Festival and so many cute choices to pick from. I'm sure you will love this pack.

Used the set: Delightful Decorations in Cherry Cobbler and punched it out with the matching Ornament punch. Layered behind is another favorite punch of mine, the Decorative Label punch and a 2 1/4" circle in Old Olive.

Ribbon is the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Whisper White along with a Vintage Faceted Designer Button. Added 2 little basic pearls in the center to emphasie the button look.

Last but not least used the Snow Burst embossing folder and Stampin Dimensionals under the Ornament and under the circle. Hope you Enjoy and Have Fun Creating!!

FMS48 - World Treasures & Comfort Cafe

Design Team member Tui Nathan over at Freshly Made Sketches is the hostess for the week who created this cute sketch to play with. If you would like to join the fun, you can click here to go directly to the challenge.

It's been hard to play with any fun stuff lately from the heat we have been having everyday and no A/C, so every time I go into my craft section, I'm sweating and nothing comes to mind except water to cool down. Aside from the heat, my little son has been super cranky, but happy to say he got his right top tooth in competely as of yesterday.

I will say that tooth was hard to come in...1 day it cut the gum a little on one side, 2nd day...it cut the gum a little more on the right side, and yesterday, the gum cut in the middle allowing the full tooth to finally show as one. It's been the hardest tooth to come in. The funny thing was, he got a third tooth on the bottom while we were still waiting for the top tooth to come in...now he has 5.

Back to the card....I was able to manage to get this one done.
Fun new stuff with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder which coordinates with the Large Scallop Edgelits Die and new stamp set: World Treasures. Since I wasn't sure which color I wanted to do, I used my sponge daubers and added 3 colors to the feathers: Primose Petals, Summer Starfruit, and Midnight Muse. For the Bird, Chocolate Chip ink.

Added Baker's Twine in Lucky Limeade and added 1 Vintage Faceted Button with basic pearl on top. In addition added several Basic Pearls around. Stampin Dimensionals were used under the Peacock and under the retangle. Hope you Enjoy and have fun creating!!!

Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track

Here is mine:
So many choices from this year Holiday Catalog and such beautiful DSP such as this one called: Festival of Prints. This DSP comes in a paper stack of 48 sheets with each sheet size (4 1/2 x 6 1/2"). Perfect for cards and several prints to choose from. You'll love it!!

Oh and what about this stamp set called: Friendship Preserves, it's so versatile and has matching Framelits to go with it. This one is called: Window Frames Collection. One of my favorite among the Holiday Catalog.

Even better yet, it also has a Paper-Piercing Pack which I also used for this card. The best way to get this would be as a bundle purchase to save 15% that includes the stamp set (Friendship Preserves), Framelits, and Paper-Piercing Pack.

The colors used for this card are obvious to many, but just in case here are the colors used: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, and Black cardstock and for the main focal point, I used Island Indigo ink. I was thinking of coloring the leaves, but at the end felt it was better just as is.

Almost forgot, I used my favorite: Stampin Dimensionals under each layer of the framelits, which is hard to see in this picture, but in person you see how it pops out throughout the layers.

Also a SPECIAL THANK YOU TO Nicole Watt, who custom designed our adorable holiday hop badges and buttons with Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio. Hope you Enjoy and Have Fun Creating!!!

Merry Monday - Guest Designer

Today is Monday so that means another fantastic challenge over at Always Playing with Paper, with a new Merry Monday challenge and sketch design by Lesley Croghan.

Also, I would like to thank Lesley for having chosen one of my Merry Monday card as a winner which gave me the opportunity to be a guest designer for today's Merry Monday Challenge, in which I'm so excited to do. You can click here to go directly to the challenge and see some beautiful christmas creations.
Here is my card:
For this card, I got some new DSP called Snow Festival from the new Holiday Catalog which is now my favorite for christmas theme. I love the colors this pack comes with, especially nice contrast with this Cherry Cobbler and Baja Breeze cardstock.

Oh and look at this cute snowman which comes from the set: Snow Much Fun. To color him, I used my SU markers and aqua painter. Colors used were: Basic Grey, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Sahara Sand, and Cherry Cobbler. For his cheek, I added a little chalk color.

I wanted more snow on this card, so I used the embossing folder: Snow Burst (now retired) using Whisper White cardstock. What do you think? At the end, I paper pierced around the oval and added some Stampin Dimensionals under it.

Almost forgot, added 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade and some Basic Pearls on each corner. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

Mojo Monday 251 - Blooming with Kindness

Another week at Mojo Monday, MOJO251, with another sketch designed by Carole Burrage. For me, it's another Sunday for the final day to get this card in before it closes. I almost didn't make it, since nothing came to mind until today.

If you would like to join the fun click here to go directly to the challenge. Here is mine below:
Again some new DSP, this one called: Fan Fair and I must say, I love it. Very soft, natural, vintage look which gives any card some elegance.

Here, I used the stamp set: Blooming with Kindness along with the ink More Mustard. Later I decided it needed just a little color, so I applied some chalk (Pink Pirouette) in the center.

For the ribbon, I used 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon in Very Vanilla. This ribbon is so easy to use and flexible to create any bow. I love to do double bows with it. For the button, it's Pretty in Pink Corduroy now (retired), but went to nice with it that I had to use.

Added some Basic Pearls on each corner of the card along with Stampin Dimensionals under the Scallop circle. Cardstock used: Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, & Whisper White. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!

FMS45 - Bordering on Romance & Poka Dot Parade

Design Team member Cindy Hall over at Freshly Made Sketches is the hostess for the week who created this sketch and brought us these fun shapes to play with.

I wish....I wish.... my little 10 month old would get his top teeth in soon so he could sleep through a little more and not have so much pain. I think it's almost out since it looks like a blister on the top gum..at least one...will see soon. Back to the card now.

If you would like to join the fun, you can click here to go directly to the challenge. Here is mine below:
I know this stamp set has been out for awhile, Bordering on Romance, but I just bought it myself and wanted to work on some coloring so here you go. I did incorporate one of the new DSP called Polka Dot Parade along with some Marina Mist & Rose Red cardstock.

I just love this flower and what a wonderful chance to color with my markers and the Aqua Painter. Colors used were: Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist along with So Saffron. Almost the entire collection of Subtles when I look now. SU Watercolor paper was used for this.

For the ribbon, I used 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon in Pear Pizzaz (now retired) along with punching out a little white flower with the Boho Blossoms Punch. Added a little button from the Twitterpated collection (retired). Need to buy more buttons.

As always, I did use Stampin Dimensionals under the Circles and for the sentiment, I used the stamp set: Apothecary Art. Hope you enjoy and have fun creating!!
