PPA157 - Open Sea with Nautical Expedition

As I said before, I'm trying to get back to my regular posting and challenges, so I hope you enjoy. This time around it's the Pals Paper Arts  sketch challenge created by the talented Margaret Moody, PPA157 and I wanted to give it a try.

If you would like to see all the wonderful inspirations, click here to go directly to the challenge. Again, the most important thing is to have fun with any challenge. Here is mine below.

This time I wanted to create a masculine card since I realized I don't have hardly any or should I say none. Also, I've had this DSP, Nautical Expedition for the longest time and realized I never used it, so I was happy to get it out and work with it. I love the colors.

This set, Open Sea is fantastic for masculine cards and so happy to see it wasn't retired. Colors were Soft Suede cardstock and ink. Added some paper piercing to bring it more attention and added my favorite Stampin Dimenstionals to pop it up.

Love this little anchor that came in the set. Here, I fuzzy cut it and mounted it with Stampin Dimensionals. Went more crazy and kept paper piercing away as you can see.

The sentiment came from the stamp set: Elements of Style, which I'm sad to see it being retired, but on the other hand I'm sure we will see some terrific stamp sets come our way in the upcoming catalog.

When I was done, I realized this card can be done in no time at all if one was making several at a time. Hope you enjoy!! Hopefully, I'll have more time and can post my other card up within the next couple of days. Until than!!

    1. I love the colors that you chose to use with this stamp set... I've seen it done mostly in blues, and it's so striking in the colors you've used. I love all the details, too, especially the paper piercing. Thanks for sharing with us at Pals Paper Arts this week!
