I'm very excited today and honored to be a guest stamper on Mary's Fish Stampin Pretty Blog! She is not only talented, but an inspiration to many people, not to mention a terrific person. I'm also thrilled to be a part of her Stampin' Pretty Pals team.
The card above is a very simple and quick layout using two of my favorite stamp sets called: Baroque Motifs and Oval All. I love how these 2 colors work so nicely together, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. Don't you?
Here is a close up of one of the images from the Oval All stamp set. Isn't it cute? and don't you just love when you have punches that match a stamp set?
Well this stamp set does. It matches the oval punch and scallop oval punch, which I used as a mat.
Now onto the next card, which is below.
This card was inspired by one of Mary's posts which illustrated the new Stampin' up colors in the New catalog. Click here to view the inspiration.
After I saw that post, I thought of a flower, so I came up with this card and loved the way it came out....here is another view of the card below.
I started by cutting out (4) 1" squares and than used the corner punch on 2 ends of each square using So Saffron cardstock. Than I cut out (4) 3/4" squares using DSP called Love Letter and used the corner punch again. Last but not least, I cut (4) 1/2" squares of DSP and layed that on top of the other squares. Perfect when you have scraps.
Yes, it's stampin dimensionals again.....I used those under each square to give the flower more of a 3D effect. Now for the steam, I used the stamp set called: Bold Blossom in Old Olive Ink. To top off the card, I did a bow using Old Olive Satin Ribbon and added 2 buttons in the center.
Once again, I would like to thank Mary for having me as a guest stamper on her Stampin Pretty Blog. Please make sure to stop by and visit her if you haven't already done so.
Also, if you haven't yet seen the newest catalog that came out

ReplyDeleteYou've got a great eye for color and composition. Love the second card here - tho both are wonderful. I love the graphic design and how you incorporated the different geometric shapes to create the flower. Very cleaver!
